🔹On March 27-28, 2023, a seminar on "Formation of functional literacy of secondary school students according to the cycle of linguistic subjects" was organized with the participation of school teachers of Ayagoz district of Abay region.

🔹The seminar was held within the framework of the 2022-2024 grant funding project of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the theme "AP14871008 DEVELOPMENT OF FUNCTIONAL LITERACY OF TEACHERS AND STUDENTS IN THE MULTILINGUAL AND MULTICULTURAL DOMESTIC EDUCATION SYSTEM". The leader of the scientific project is Ismailova Gainigul Kabidullinovna, Ph.D., professor of the Department of Foreign Languages.

🔹The purpose of the seminar: to stimulate the implementation of tasks aimed at the formation of functional literacy according to the cycle of language subjects into the educational process, to increase the level of pedagogical skill of subject teachers in the formation of functional literacy of secondary school students.

🔹The moderator of the seminar, Ph.D., senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages, Grigorieva Galina Borisovna "Formation of functional literacy of secondary school students in lessons on subjects of the language cycle", "Organization of work on formation of reading literacy skills", speakers: PhD, foreign Turikpenova Aigul Zhumanovna, senior teacher of the department of languages, conducted trainings on methods on the topics "Formation of functional literacy according to the cycle of language subjects (Kazakh and Turkish)", master of philology, teacher of the department of foreign languages ​​Kenzhina Shugyla Makanovna "Development of functional literacy of learners in foreign language classes". , gave feedback.

🔹The course of the seminar continued with answering online surveys, exchanging opinions, and performing situational tasks. The participants of the seminar expressed their opinions and exchanged questions. At the end of the seminar, creative works were performed, and special certificates were presented to the participants.
